MINUTES OF THE CHARTER TRUSTEES MEETING

5 Members of the public including SKDC Councillor Linda Wootten and a reporter from the Grantham Journal

1. Welcome

The Mayor welcomed the Charter Trustees and the Members  of the public to the    meeting.  LC said that this was a short Agenda due to the fast approach of Mayor Making Day and that there will be another meeting to discuss the previous minutes when the new Mayor is in place.

2. Apologies

3. Election of New Mayor

RW proposed AS for the position of Mayor.  This was seconded by DW.

4. Election of Deputy Mayor

AS proposed DW as Deputy Mayor.  This was seconded by GJ.

5. Mayor Making Day

Invitations are to be sent out.  This will be arranged by ET when a guest list has been given (The minutes do not state who “ET” is, nor whether he/she was in attendance, but probably it refers to the Clerk to the Trustees).

6. Passing of the Accounts

RW said that he would like to look at the accounts before they are passed.  The accounts are to be agreed at the next meeting.

7. AOB

 GJ asked the question of when the Parlours Assets were last valued.  JS said that it was about 7 years ago.  GJ suggested that we get another valuation on the assets next year.
